  • Multiscale approaches in variational data assimilation: optimal control, 4D-Var, adjoint method, multigrid methods.
  • Non-Gaussian approaches in sequential data assimilation : Ensemble-based Kalman filters, Gaussian anamorphosis, combined state and parameter estimation.
  • Application to oceanography : nesting, coupled physical-ecosystem model, operational oceanography.
